(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Bo-in = “Scoring monster” Elling Halan (21, Dortmund), who returned from injury, set the record for the youngest 50 goals in German professional football Bundesliga history.

In the 13th round of the 2021-2022 Bundesliga against Wolfsburg held at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg, Germany on the 27th (local time), Halan scored a key goal in the 35th minute of the second half, leading Dortmund 2-1, completing the team’s 3-1 victory.

A cross from Julian Brandt from outside the left side of the box was kicked in by Hollan with his left foot.

This is the goal that Haalan, who was recently out of power due to a hip injury, returned after a month.

After watching the game from the bench, he was replaced in the 28th minute of the second half and started scoring seven minutes after stepping on the ground.

This is Halan’s 50th Bundesliga goal.

Halan, who stepped on the Bundesliga stage in the 2019-2020 season wearing a Dortmund jersey, became the youngest player to achieve 50 league goals at the age of 21 years, 4 months and 6 days.

In his 50th Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg, he was also named the player with the fewest appearances and 50 goals scored.

The Bundesliga reports that Halan has advanced the record held by Timo Konitzka in the division by 12 games.

Halan has played in 7 regular league games this season and has recorded 10 goals and 4 assists.

Dortmund, who accumulated 3 points on that day, remained in second place in the league (30 points, 10 wins and 3 losses).

The 1st place is held by Bayern Munich (31 points, 10 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses), who defeated Bielefeld 1-0 on the same day.

Munich scored 102 goals in the Bundesliga this year, the most in league history, surpassing the record set by Cologne (101) in 1977.
