Faced with the security and humanitarian crises our country is going through, each Burkinabè has an important role to play in contributing to the war effort with a view to a return to peace.

This is the meaning of the call for voluntary contributions for the war effort launched by the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, on November 18, 2022.

To receive and manage these voluntary contributions in kind and in cash, a multidisciplinary commission was set up by Order No. 2022-001/PRES-TRANS of October 27, 2022. Also, in the sense of the duty of accountability desired by the Chief of State, a first monthly management report of these donations was published on December 24, 2022.

The report on the second month of operation of the Commission, the subject of this press release, again for the sake of transparency and accountability, also gives a summary of the donations received and their allocation since the call for contributions of November 18, 2022.

Moreover, with the recent creation of the Patriotic Support Fund attached to the Ministry in charge of Finance, coordination is underway for a better synergy of actions between these two tools.

Thus, the balance sheet at two months of operation of the Commission is as follows: ⤵
