Mount Everest Customizable Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard Black Core: Dana and DPG Challenge My Heart

If a soldier has a gun, an office worker has a keyboard. The legendary keyboard that I am going to introduce today is the Mountain Everest Core Black color product.

As a high-end product in the keyboard world, it has a high quality that you can’t get out of your hair after you use it. Today, we will take a closer look at the product.

unbox

Mount Everest Core products are differentiated from ordinary keyboards out of the box.

external_image

First of all, you are overwhelmed by the size. When you open the product, the first floor contains accessories, and the second floor contains keyboard products.

The keyboard will be discussed later, but if you look at the USB cable first, it’s probably the thickest fabric keyboard I’ve ever seen.

external_image

The built-in cable is very tough, and you can see that it is relatively thick compared to a normal smartphone charging cable.

external_image

Below is a box containing materials that can be modified.

external_image

The first thing that catches your eye is, of course, a set of 5 Switch samples. (Blue / Red / Gray / Brown / Low Noise Red)

external_image

You can choose a switch when buying the product, but the fact that samples are provided so that you can feel some buttons differently or feel other switches is a point that impresses users.

external_image

Next is a magnetic stand that allows you to adjust the height of the keyboard. I believe that it will serve as a stable pedestal because the magnetic force is significant and widespread.

Personally, as the top height of the keyboard increases, the angle my wrist naturally bends also increases, so personally, I prefer to use it low.

Finally, the switch puller.

external_image

Even with the fuller, it gave a more luxurious feel than the tweezers feel, so I felt the details were no joke. In the case of the puller, one side is used to remove the keycap of the keyboard as shown in the video below.

external_image

The other side is used to remove the keyboard switch.

Note that the video below is actually a video of disconnecting the switch.

(Finally, among the components, the basic ESC keycap is included, but I don’t think I’ll bother to remove the signature keycap.)

keyboard design

external_image

The product is black in color and is a mechanical keyboard design with a denkey layout (no 10 correct keys).

The advantage of tenkeyless is that it is advantageous to secure mouse space, so it is a very attractive product for FPS users.

external_image

If you actually touch the product, you will immediately notice that it is metal, not plastic. It weighs 892g, which is heavy for a tenkeyless keyboard, but it provides a luxurious and dignified feel due to the high quality aluminum plate used.

external_image

The USB-C cable is placed in the middle. As the Mount Everest Core product is highly expandable, it has one USB-C port on the left and right,

external_image

Since there are a total of 5 ports, 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port on the top, it can be confusing at first where to connect to use the keyboard.

external_image

external_image

Dedicated software is also provided, allowing you to customize RGB patterns to create your own keyboard.

external_image

The RGB of this product stands out more because it is made in a housingless form similar to Vicky.

external_image

It’s a bonus that it’s easy to manage because it’s open form.

external_image

The keyboard I use is a keyboard with low noise red switches, which makes little noise and has little repulsive force.

external_image

Personally, I use cheongchuk at home. This is because the feedback like a ‘click’ is good every time you press the key, so you get the feeling that the keys feel good.

external_image

But why do you use red axes in the office?

There may be a reason for the low noise, but it’s because I feel like I have to type carefully, one stitch at a time, and it makes me think about it once more when writing an email.

external_image

And the reason why I said low noise red axle, not just red axle, is because full lubrication has been applied as shown in the picture above. It simply means that it is oiled.

external_image

A lubricant called Krytox GPL 205 Grade 0 was applied to the stabilizer area (white area in the video above) to reduce noise during keystrokes.

external_image

The last thing I felt was that the product was a bit tall, so if you are like me who feels uncomfortable raising the angle of your wrist, it would be nice to use the palm rest like the one below.

finish

As I said at the beginning, the keyboard is the most important tool for office workers. I think it could be a natural investment to have a powerful weapon for my survival and the survival of my family. I have tried many keyboards, but I enjoy the pleasure of having a high-end keyboard with a luxurious feel and intense key feel. For Mountain Everest Core, Emtek provides 2 years of free A/S as an official source of income, so it is recommended to buy it in Korea rather than buying directly.
