Move to name goalkeeper for RGCB; CM sends letter to Center RGCB | MS Golwalkar

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sent a letter to Health, Science and Technology Minister Harshavardhan asking him to abandon the move to name the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology after Golwalkar. The letter also demanded that the institute be named after a renowned Indian scientist.

The letter states that abandoning the move to name Golwalkar will help maintain the company’s reputation and avoid controversy in the public sphere.

Parties, including the CPM and the Congress, had come out against the central government’s move. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had written to the Prime Minister urging him to abandon the move.
