Mullaperiyar water bomb, will it stand if cement is applied on top ?: MM. Mani | Mullaperiyar Dam | MM Mani | Kerala News | Malayalam News

Nedunkandam: Former minister and CPM leader MM Mani has revealed that the Mullaperiyar Dam water bomb is above the Vandiperiyar. The inside of the Mullaperiyar Dam, which was constructed using jaggery and lime, became empty. MM Mani said that Tamil Nadu is playing politics on the issue. He was speaking at a farmers’ fast organized by the Nedunkandam High Range Conservation Committee

Former Minister’s words

‘Think of something common sense. Inside it was empty, used jaggery, zirconium and lime. I have been inside it many times with ministers. The water is dripping. There is no point in justifying that it is coated with cement and wire. Will it stand if it is coated with cement? If anything happens they will die without drinking water and we will die without drinking water.

Stand like a bomb thousands of feet above the Vandiperiyar. No big deal. I have said this in the Assembly. With this, the people of Tamil Nadu are playing politics. There is no other way. Any other way than the new dam. This is the position of our LDF government in this regard. I agree with that. If the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin and his leadership take a positive stand, the problem will be solved quickly. If anything happens, it will be a disaster. There is nothing more ridiculous than going to dig into whether it will stand.

The new dam will soon be completed by the two governments. I think you should raise the voice of the High Range Protection Committee for this too. When the issue is raised, the people of the two states should be dealt with spontaneously without any conflict.

It is noteworthy that these are the words of Mani Asan when the government and the Chief Minister said that there is no need to worry about the safety of the Mulaperiyar Dam and that action will be taken against those who spread unnecessary fear.
