Municipal police of Bobo: The first officer has retired

On Friday March 10, 2023, Bobo’s first municipal police officer, Brigadier Sériba Traoré, retired. A sober ceremony was organized in his honor at the direction of the Municipal police of Bobo-Dioulasso in the presence of the Director of human resources of the police of Bobo.

It is 4 p.m. when we set foot in the precincts of the Bobo municipal police headquarters. There were many police officers around the flag. The atmosphere reigned that evening. With cries, they tease each other, sing the name of Serib. He is the first municipal police officer to assert his retirement rights. He came out of the second promotion 1997-1999 of the municipal police of Bobo.

This ceremony was launched by the descent of the national colors. A moment of emotion for Sériba Traoré and his colleagues. He will have done 23 years 08 months and 5 days of service. Commonly called “the man of sayings”, Sériba Traoré is a man open to his colleagues, loves his work and always in a good mood with those around him. This is how Seydou Coulibaly, Director of the municipal police of Bobo, lacks words to praise the bravery of the new retiree. “When a police officer is recruited in 1997-1999 and established in 2000 and does 23 years of service, it’s an obstacle course. And that’s something to be welcomed.” he just confided. Also, he takes this opportunity to invite other colleagues to work professionally to hope to be retired one day. On the occasion of this retirement ceremony of Sériba Traoré, many gifts were offered to him. An envelope of 25,000F, a bag of rice, a can of oil and a box of spaghetti were offered by the agents of his promotion. From the Municipal Police Department, he received a bag of rice and a Faso Danfani suit. The section gift consists of a bag of rice and 10000F. Regarding the gift from the mutual, Sériba Traoré received a check for 500,000F.

“It’s the day of fishing that the toad knows he’s not a fish”, said Sériba Traoré by way of thanks. Then explain that “on fishing day we catch all the fish and we leave the toad, and today I know that I am a fish”. It was also the place for the Director of Human Resources of the municipal police, Mrs. Karambiri, to congratulate the merits of the new retiree and invite the other officers to follow in his footsteps.
