The commune of Bobo-Dioulasso and that of Bama held a Constituent General Assembly as part of their partnership. It was on the morning of Friday March 10, 2023 in the village hall of the central town hall of Bobo.
The history of twinning of these two municipalities dates back a very long time. Bobo and Bama share the same vision since the time of the ancestors, taught Oumarou Sanou, chief of the village of Bama. The general objective of the meeting is to create a dynamic of cooperation between these two municipalities. Ultimately, the two local authorities are committed to working together to strengthen their development projects in various fields. Among others, these are the sectors of land, roads, transport, tourism and water and sanitation.
According to Adama Bidiga, president of the special communal delegation of Bobo-Dioulasso, “We want to focus on the development program of our two municipalities in order to improve the living conditions of our populations. We are going to hold sessions in the coming days with a view to setting up a board of directors”.
For Abdoulaye Traoré, president of the special communal delegation of Bama, “This demonstrates our close collaboration with the commune of Bobo moving forward. We will work towards a solid partnership between the two municipalities”.
To materialize their partnership, the presidents of the special delegations of Bobo-Dioulasso and Bama signed agreements in the fields of economy, tourism and the environment.
