Police have applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s who killed a woman living alone in the neighborhood because he “looks like he has a lot of money.”
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced today (26th) that it had applied for an arrest warrant for Park, a man in his 40s, on charges of robbery and murder.
On the afternoon of the 21st, Park is accused of entering the house of a neighboring woman in her 60s, who lives in the same apartment, to steal money and murdering Mr. B.
Park hid after the crime and was caught yesterday (25th) at a motel in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. After the crime, it was investigated that Park escaped pursuit by moving around the motel.
In the police investigation, it is known that Park had to leave the rental apartment and was worried about money, such as moving expenses.
The interrogation of the suspect before the arrest of Park will be held at the Seoul Southern District Court tomorrow morning.
