Kozhikode: Kozhikode again with pride. Kozhikode’s Freedom Square is one of the must-see museums in the world. Freedom Square is also found on the website Architecture design.in, an international platform for architects.
Architectural excellence was the main reason for the recognition of Freedom Square. Other museums on the list include the Imperial Clin Museum in China, the Art Depot in the Netherlands, the Museum of Socialism in Lucknow, the Children’s Museum in Mumbai and the Red Fort in Delhi.
Freedom Square was constructed at a cost of `2.5 crore from the MLA’s Constituency Asset Development Fund as part of the Kozhikode North Assembly constituency development project. This square was built on Kozhikode beach as a dedication to the freedom fighters. The history of Kozhikode and the sacrificial memories of the freedom struggle can be seen in Freedom Square.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Square was dedicated to Nadu in February 2021, ahead of the 75th anniversary of independence. Freedom Square was designed by D Earth, led by renowned Kerala architects PP Vivek and Nishant. Construction Management U.S. L. C.S.
