[마이데일리 = 오윤주 기자] Weibo, a social networking service in China, has suspended 20 Korean celebrity fan club accounts.

On the 6th, according to a number of Chinese media such as Pengpai, Weibo suspended the accounts of 21 Korean celebrity fan clubs for 30 days, citing the reason that Weibo ‘irrationally following and supporting stars’.

Typical account that the suspension has a group such as Bulletproof Boy Scouts, NCT, singer Jang Won-young, IU fan club. In addition, BTS members RM, Jin, J-Hope, NCT’s Jaehyun, Mark, Jaemin, and Taeyong, Red Velvet’s Seulgi, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and Blackpink’s Rosé and Lisa personal fan club accounts were also included.

In particular, BTS member Jimin’s fan club account was suspended for 60 days. The fan club recently flew an airplane with Jimin’s photo on it to commemorate his birthday.

These measures were taken after the CCP Central Internet Safety Informatization Committee’s Office of the People’s Republic of China announced on the 27th of last month a plan to ‘strengthen management of disorderly fandom’. This plan stipulates that minors are prohibited from spending to support celebrities, and that online fan clubs are prohibited from attacking each other. Online platforms such as Weibo will be punished if they do not follow this policy.
