NAINGEAL COUNCIL –
Darlington Nagbe will not be training with the United States and the team continues in California. He has trained with the team since he came to the Los Angeles area on February 1.
The Sunday United was a friendly Sunday night wear against LAFC. The team has one competition, Wednesday against the L.A. Galaxy, before they return Thursday to Atlanta.
The club refused to say why Nagbe will not train or make the decision that he will not train. Nagbe rejected some interview requests.
It never lasted with the first team in his previous friendship this preseason.
No matter what Nagbe's absence is for training, the goalkeeper, Brad Guzan, said he's not doing it, after 2-2 draws the Sunday team with LAFC.
"He is both himself and the club," said Guzan. "I know for a long time. It's a great team. Join us as players, our team, where we will be where we will. From our point, it's not obvious here and we do our business in a professional way.
"We do not let us know that we do here. We will continue to push each other to make sure we get better every day."
Atlanta United Nagbe received a trade with Portland in December 2017. Atlanta's vice president Carlos Bocanegra said Nagbe was the best goal of the team at the same time. The United States trade cost $ 750,000 in the General Allocation Money, $ 300,000 in Target Allocated Allocation Money and International location.
When Nagbe starts in the regular 2018 season, the team went 14-5-4. He was nominated for the 2018 All-Star MLS team but lost the game in Atlanta due to injury.
