NC announced on the 27th that it has completed annual salary contracts with 62 players, excluding rookies and free agents (FA).
Park Seok-min was shocked to sign for 50 million won, a drop of 650 million won from last year’s 700 million won. The pay cut is a whopping 93%.
Park Seok-min, who signed a free agent contract for up to 3.4 billion in January 2020 for 2 + 1 years, returned from disciplinary action for violating quarantine rules in 2021, but last year was sluggish with a batting average of 0.149 in 16 games.
First of all, NC coach Kang In-kwon announced that he would give Park Seok-min a chance to improve, and that he would appoint him as the starting third baseman for the 2023 season.
