Kollam: Kundara CI Jayakrishnan has been transferred for allegedly failing to investigate the NCP leader’s attempt to insult him. The transfer was based on the DIG’s report that there was a delay in filing the case. The intervention of Minister AK Sasindran to settle the case of NCP leader Padmakaran’s attempt to torture him was a big controversy.
The woman lodged a complaint on June 28, but the police registered a case three weeks later and took action to collect the confession. According to DIG Sanjay Kumar Garud’s investigation report, there was a failure to settle the case considering the woman’s complaint.
The complainant had alleged that the police had tried to settle the case from the outset. Following the controversy, the NCP had suspended six leaders. He also warned Minister AK Shashindra to be careful in phone conversations.
