Netmarble acquires mobile casino game company Spin X for 2.5 trillion won

Netmarble has embraced the world’s third-largest mobile social casino game company.

Netmarble announced on the 2nd that it has decided to acquire a 100% stake in SpinX, the world’s third-largest mobile social casino game company, for about 2.5 trillion won in order to expand and strengthen its global business competitiveness.

SpinX, a social casino game company established in 2014, has ‘Cash Frenzy’, ‘Lotsa Slots’, and ‘Jackpot World’ as its representative works. In the second quarter of 2021, it ranked third in terms of global mobile social casino genre sales.

SpinX is the fastest growing company in the social casino industry in recent years. It recorded 497 billion won in sales based on Hanwha in 2020. In the first quarter of 2021, sales of 162.2 billion won and the first half of the year achieved sales of 328.9 billion won, a 46% increase from the same period of the previous year.

The social casino game is one of the casual game genres enjoyed by many global users along with the ‘three matching puzzle’ genre in the world.

By doing so, we have been able to further expand our casual game lineup and diversify our game portfolio, which is expected to further strengthen our global game competitiveness.”
