New Bing, image generation function “Bing Image Creator” – Impress Watch

Microsoft released a preview version of “Bing Image Creator” that can create images from text instructions (prompts) as a new feature of the “new Bing” search engine on the 21st (US time). Bing preview participants are already available.

The new Bing and Edge offer search and browsing, as well as the ability to “chat” to find information using OpenAI’s large language model. In addition, we plan to add an image generation function so that text and video content can be generated instantly. It is also available from the Bing Image Creator website.

Bing Image Creator has an advanced version of the DALL-E model from OpenAI, and you can create an image simply by describing the picture you imagined in text. In addition to image descriptions, you can add context such as location and art style to refine the generated images. Microsoft describes it as a “creative copilot.”

A Bing icon is displayed in the lower left corner of every image generated by Image Creator to make it clear that it has been generated by AI.

In addition, on the 21st, Adobe also announced the new image generation AI “Adobe Firefly”.
