New poll finds 42% of registered voters support Trump, 39% support Biden

WASHINGTON – A new poll by Reuters and Ipsos found that 42% of registered voters support Donald Trump and 39% support Joe Biden. But US President Biden rejected the result of this survey. Another question asked if any survey was predicting correctly these days. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the poll predicts 41% for DeSantis and 38% for Biden. At the party level, 35% of Democrats favor the re-election of Biden and 43% of Republicans favor the re-election of former President Trump.

Florida Governor DeSantis is the first (unofficially) to highlight the campaign on a national level. DeSantis is supported by 31% of registered Republican voters, while former Vice President Mike Pines and former Gov. South Carolina Nikki Haley, who just announced her candidacy, in the single digits.

In the Democratic Party, the survey predicts support for independent Senator Bernie Sanders at 13%, Vice President Kamala Harris at 12% and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttige at 10%. Biden, who has not yet announced his candidacy, is not expected to face competition in the Democratic primaries. Kyle Condick, an analyst at the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, says Biden’s support is coming from soft-spoken Democrats who have not yet publicly announced their support.

Democratic Party strategists are confident that support will increase as soon as Biden announces his candidacy. But last year, 42% of registered voters agreed that Biden’s handling of the economy was satisfactory. Now it has dropped to 36%.

Meanwhile, DeSantis finds himself embroiled in controversy. The African American Advanced Placement (AP) course is a curriculum that serves black students. Florida’s governor said it has no educational value. He also said the state should find another system to replace the college board. The vote of no confidence in the College Board is likely to hurt DeSantis’ election prospects. Black began a move against DeSantis.
