Everything seems to indicate that more changes are coming in the Government. This time in the educational sector, where the president Gustavo Petro would have asked for the resignation of Aurora Vergara, current Minister of Education (successor to Alejandro Gaviria) and other officials including Mauricio Toro, director of Icetex.
Vergara has only been in the educational portfolio for three months and previously served as deputy minister. At the moment there is no official confirmation from her or from her Twitter account.
This comes just one day after Gustavo Petro, in a speech to his followers in downtown Bogotá, announced that the government will seek to reform Law 30, under which the current education system is governed. It is few words, an education reform.
