A 51-year-old police officer from the North Holland unit was fired on Friday for cross-border behavior. An investigation has been conducted against the man since September last year.

The man can still appeal against the decision of the police.

“The police carefully investigate reports about possible cross-border behavior and punish where necessary,” it is stated.

It cannot be confirmed that this is the 51-year-old team chief of the Haarlemmermeer police, who resigned his work in September after accusations of sexual harassment. The man would according to NRC made sexual proposals per app.

Incidentally, there is also an investigation into the woman who filed the complaint for suspected violation of office secrecy; confidential information would have been leaked to the newspaper.
