Night curfew in Milan and Naples, Italy in response to the second wave of Corona

Night curfew is expected to be enforced starting this week in Milan and southern Naples in northern Italy, where Corona 19 is again horribly spreading.

According to local media such as La Repubblica daily, the state of Lombardy in northern Italy, located in Milan, the financial center of Italy, enforces curfew throughout the state from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

As a result, local residents are not allowed to go out without special reasons such as health or business during that time.

Starting this week, all mid- and large-sized shopping centers in the state will also be closed on weekends, excluding essential stores such as grocery stores.

The state government has proposed and approved the implementation of its own quarantine measures based on this context.

The curfew is scheduled to take effect temporarily until the 13th of next month.

Southern Campania, led by the port city of Naples, also unveiled its policy of implementing night curfew at the same time as Lombardy starting on the 23rd.

The plan is to stop all commercial activities, including public transportation, from 11:00 p.m.
