Nikhat, Love Lina, Neetu, Jasmine crash into Commonwealth | Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain lock their spot in India’s team in Commonwealth games

New Delhi: World champion Nikhat Sareen, Olympic bronze medalists Lovelina Borgohain, Neetu Ghanghas and Jasmine Lamboria have emerged victorious in the fierce battle for the Commonwealth Games boxing ticket. Nikhat defeated Meenakshi of Haryana in the 50 kg category.

Lovelina also knocked down the pooja of the Railways in the 70 kg category. Parveen Hooda, the third world champion, lost to bronze medalist Jasmine in the 60 kg category at the Asian Youth Boxing Championships. Former World Youth Champion Neetu also qualified by defeating 2019 World Silver Medal 2019 Jetri Manjurani in the 48 kg category. Legendary player Mary Kom, who came out against Neetu last day, withdrew due to injury.
