Thrissur: A young man who left his mother and sister in a jewelery shop to buy wedding jewelery was found hanging at home. It is concluded that the suicide was due to mental distress due to non-availability of bank loan. Vipin (25) died at Pachalappoot house in Kunduvara, Gandhinagar, Thrissur. He had sought a loan from a bank for his sister’s wedding.
There was no loan from anywhere as there was only three cents of land. Subsequently, the new generation applied for a loan from a bank. He had gone to a jewelery shop with his mother and sister to buy gold for the wedding following the announcement of the loan yesterday. After picking up the jewelry, Vipin left, saying he would come right away with the money.
However, he was later informed by the bank that the loan could not be sanctioned. Vip was found dead when his mother Baby and sister Vidya came home after waiting for a long time at the jewelery shop.
Vipin, who used to work in a supermarket, lost it during Kovid. His father Vasu, a carpenter, died five years ago. Vip’s sister was engaged to be married a while back. It was postponed due to the financial crisis. The sister’s wedding was scheduled for next Sunday.
