After BCCI announced equal pay for women players, there is criticism against the Pakistan Cricket Board. Captain Bisma Maroof has come out publicly against PCB
The Pakistan women’s team has not even received a pay rise in eight years after equal pay. Bisma Maroof reacted against the Pakistan Cricket Board in a press conference before the series against Ireland. Bisma said there was an increase in 2014 in the match fee of Pakistani women cricketers. But the captain said that the PCB is preparing a better training facility for women’s cricket. Pakistan had defeated India in the Women’s Asia Cup. However, the Pakistan women’s team has not been able to perform well in the ICC tournaments. New Zealand was the first cricket board to implement equal pay for men’s and women’s teams, followed by India to make match fees equal.
