Graduation photos of third-year students from Uijeongbu High School in Gyeonggi-do, which draw attention for their witty makeup every year, have been released.

On the 18th, the Student Council of Uijeongbu High School posted a graduation photo on Facebook and said, “The graduation photo shoot was successfully completed despite many things being controlled due to COVID-19. I would like to express my sincere thanks.”

This year, the students also presented parody regardless of genre, from Olympic stars to new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) medical staff, YouTube channel hosts, and cartoon movie characters.

As an answer to the Olympics, many students dressed up as sports stars. After losing the match, some students parodied Lee Dong-kyung, a controversial national soccer team player for refusing to shake hands after losing the match, and some students imitated Shin Yu-bin, the ‘Table Fairy’ player. Some students imitated the Corona 19 medical staff wearing quarantine suits as if reflecting ‘Kosi Guk’.

The students also showed their ingenuity by imitating the ‘Han Sarang Mountain Club’ in the YouTube channel or imitating the characters in the ‘Baedal People’ icon. Now, Harry Potter makeup, which belongs to the ‘classic’ axis, and Ki-young’s character makeup in the cartoon movie ‘Black Rubber God’ were not left out. There were students who turned into objects like Coca-Cola.

However, there were no pictures that satirize the political situation. A graduation photo that satirizes the political situation in 2016 has been controversial. At that time, the school was flooded with protest calls, and some civic groups sued students for defamation.

Since then, the school has announced that it will not allow graduation photos with unusual attire, and when students protested, they are continuing the tradition of graduation photos by limiting them to areas that are not politically controversial.
