CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – – If Virginia wants to keep himself online No. 1 for seedling in North NCAA, it must win on the road against a national title contender.
That's the opinion of an expert Jerry Palm, a Sports Bracketology CBS expert, said so much Monday afternoon on the CBS Sports Headquarters. And it's almost certainly right. Virginia was successful, but they left games back in the back. The Duke and the UNC of the Wahoos would fall to seed No. 2. That is not the worst thing in the world, but in a world competitors package for seeds No. 1 at this point, it would be good enough to keep UVA near the top of metric forecasts and brackets.
Fortunately for UVA, it's 36-29 in favor of half. The Cavaliers went through three reports from the UNC and dominated most of the first 20 minutes. UVA was able to offset the UNC by doing six of its own report.
Limit the resignation of the UNC to five. This is likely to be doubled in the second half – and that Virginia will interfere with much more – for a shooting back and winning home. We will continue to update the blog below and we will have a story and column story from Chapel Hill later tonight.
