North Korea Expels US Soldier Travis King for Illegal Interference

Kenosha AP (Yonhap News) – The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has taken the decision to expel US soldier Private Travis King due to his involvement in illegal interference, according to reports.

On August 15th, the US Department of Defense responded to North Korea’s announcement regarding the intention of Private Travis King to seek asylum in the country. The Department stated that it could not verify the authenticity of this claim and prioritized ensuring his safe return to the United States. The Korean Central News Agency had previously reported that King admitted to seeking refuge in North Korea due to his dissatisfaction with the inhumane treatment and racial discrimination within the US military. In a photograph shared by the Agency, King’s grandfather can be seen being interviewed alongside a picture of King himself, taken in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 19th.
