The Chosun Central News Agency reported on the 4th that, citing the National Emergency Response Command, a total of 3,996,690 cases of fever occurred nationwide from the end of April to the afternoon of the previous day.
Of these, 3,849,890 people have made a full recovery, and 146,720 people are receiving treatment.
The number of new fever cases on the previous day fell below 100,000 for the fifth consecutive day.
From 6 p.m. on the 2nd to 6 p.m. the previous day, the number of new fever patients nationwide was 79,100. During this period, 86,100 people have recovered and one new death has occurred.
The news agency claimed that the death toll from the previous day brought the total number of deaths to 71, with a fatality rate of 0.002%.
The number of new fever patients in North Korea soared to 18,000 on the 12th of last month, 174,440 on the 13th, 296,180 on the 14th, and 392,920 on the 15th.
After that, it maintained the level of 200,000 on the 16th and 20th of last month, then decreased to 100,000 on the 21st and 26th, and on the 27th (88,520 people), it fell below 100,000 within a fortnight.
