Comment by HC Sato

To the Sanders family, thank you for all your support this season. Thanks to everyone’s support, we managed to complete the season with all our strength at any time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I will serve as head coach for the 2023-24 season as well. It is early and it will be the challenge of the 5th year. “BE READY”, “UN1TE”, “MOVE”, “FULL THROTTLE” I have accumulated various things with these words over the last four years. I have experienced many good and bad times. I also experienced the misfortune of the corona. Among them, we won the Emperor’s Cup championship and the district championship. All that remains is to win the B League and challenge Asia beyond that. I would like to make this season a season where I can bring together what I have cultivated over the last four years, and the strength of the team’s 73 years of tradition, to create a solid and strong team, and finally, achieve my dear long love. wish..

In addition to the pursuit of victory, we will create a team that can achieve many times the splendor of basketball, dreams and courage, emotions and excitement, and touching moments throughout the 40 minutes of a basketball game. I believe that doing is another goal and responsibility for me. I’d like to go back to the basics and think about what I can do for that, and I’d like to stack team building days. I would like to thank the team for giving me such an honorable opportunity.

This team stands with the Sanders family. Let’s fight together, grow together, and create the future. Thank you for your continued support next season.

Kenji Sato will lead the team in the 2023-24 season as well.
This season, only 18 out of 60 regular season games were played with a full lineup, and those 18 games resulted in 14 wins and 4 losses. We were hit by an unexpected accident from the opening round, and while we were forced to face a difficult period that was far from our original plan, the players and team staff did their best. As a result, we won the Central Division championship, and in the last three years, we have won the Emperor’s Cup twice in a row, and I am grateful for bringing titles to the team.

It has been a difficult season with injuries, but it is also true that issues arise. I fully understand that unless we overcome these challenges, we will not reach the summit we are aiming for. I think he will work on it without wasting this off-season.

Next season, we will support Sato HC so that he can show his skills to the fullest. Thank you for your continued support.
