[上海 5日 ロイター] – Tesla Inc. provided 100,291 Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) in November, the highest monthly number since the Shanghai factory opened at the end of 2020. Xinhua News Agency reported on the 5th.

It increased by 40% from the previous month and increased by 89.7% from the same month the previous year. The increase in production at the Shanghai factory, price cuts for hot-selling models, and incentives for Chinese buyers all contributed.

Meanwhile, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows that BYD was the top EV seller in China in November. 229,942 units arrived, including plug-in hybrids and pure EVs, three times more than the same month last year and more than double Tesla’s.

Data from China Bank International Finance (CMBI) shows BYD beat Volkswagen (VW) to the top spot among domestic car sales by brand in the first four weeks of November.
