On the 24th, the game that occupied the childhood of many gamers was revived. Diablo 2 Resurrection (hereafter referred to as Resurrection) has been officially released. Various problems arose immediately after the release, and although it was criticized by gamers, “Did you even restore the server problem?”, it is evaluated that it basically reproduces the high level of perfection of the original.

In the meantime, there are a lot of changes from the original. There are changes to enhance the player’s convenience while not missing the dignity and fun of the original. From a small UI change to a larger warehouse capacity, many things have changed than expected. Among the changes that Game Mecca has made, we have collected 10 major changes.

1. When you enter the room, party invitation and acceptance are automatically

When you start the game and enter Battle.net for multiplayer in earnest, you will notice a subtly changed UI. First, you can check the elapsed game time, level limits, players, and loot intervals for each room. It is now possible to collect room information at a glance. What’s more convenient is that party invitations and invitation acceptance are automatically made as soon as you enter the room. The troublesome situation of begging for invitations to party members who are daring to hunt no longer occurs.

2. The accuracy rate is 95%, but Gamnabit??

In Resurrection, ‘missing’ is displayed when the attack does not hit. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s the simplest and most obvious change that improves combat intuition. This is because, unlike in the past, when the hit ratio was roughly matched, you can check the hit ratio with your own eyes, which makes it easier to match the character stats. The downside is that the psychological impact of facing ‘missing’ 10 times in a row is doubled.

3. Dropped coins can be picked up automatically

In the old days, people who played Diablo 2 were all very bothered about picking up items and gold coins. Especially in the case of gold coins, except at the beginning, it was difficult to click each one, so I did not pick it up at all. However, in this Resurrection, I was able to relieve a handful of such annoyances. This is because if you turn on the automatic gold pick-up option in settings, you can automatically acquire gold coins that are nearby.

4. Stop calculating the probability of ‘feasting’

Previously, in Diablo, it was very painful to compare the stats of characters and items. Once the item is equipped, it is not intuitively visible which stats change by how much, so the user had to calculate them one by one. However, in Resurrection, if you open the stat window, you can intuitively see which item effect is applied, and you can directly compare the stats between the item you are wearing and the item in your inventory. The hassle of adding and multiplying the probability of finding a magic item while reading each option is gone.

5. The higher temptation to gamble

The flower in the early stages of Diablo 2 is ‘gamble’, an item gambling enjoyed through NPCs. You can break through Acts 1 and 2 more easily if you make good use of some good items that appear during gamble. However, it is also true that the process of talking to the NPC several times to get the item was very tiring. The feeling of not having the type of item you needed even after talking ten times was indescribably unpleasant. However, in Resurrection, you can refresh items with a single click without having to speak to them again. Now, all you have to do is click leisurely until you find the item you want.

6. Instead of inventory, the storage capacity is inflated.

Inventory capacity did not increase, but private warehouse capacity increased dramatically. It has been increased from 48 to 100. A new warehouse has been created that can be shared between characters in the account, and the capacity is ample with 300 spaces. It’s much easier to hand over to another character after diligently circling ‘Angbeop’ with the Elementalist’s teleport. It is a bonus that you can move items without dragging by pressing the CTRL key when putting or removing items from the warehouse.

7. Ladder exclusive items are also available on Battle.net

Many experts enjoyed the ladder rank play in Diablo 2 because they wanted to leave their mark in the game, but it was to get ladder items that could only be obtained during the season. This is because it meant that if you did not get a ladder item within 6 months, you would be weaker than others. However, you can put down the burden of obtaining ladder items in Resurrection. This is because you can obtain ladder-only runewords and unique items through non-ladder play. The ladder season will be used purely as a space for competition in the future.

8. Not a remaster, but a remade cinematic video

Resurrection is a remaster, not a remake. It means that no matter how good the graphics and how comfortable the game is, the original is still the same. However, as far as the cinematic video is concerned, it can be considered a remake. In particular, there are no resources left for the sound part, so I recorded and made it from scratch. If you compare it with the original, you can easily feel that it has been completely remade from head to toe.

9. Even if you catch the cowking, the cowbang will open again.

One big change was made to the cow level, also known as ‘Cowbang’, which was the eternal prank of the Diablo series and the most popular dungeon in Diablo 2. That is, even if you catch the boss monster, Cow King, you can continue to open the cow room. Previously, if you catch a cowking even once, it is considered that you have cleared the quest, and you cannot open the cowbang forever. However, in Resurrection, this part has been improved, and the trouble of running around to avoid catching the cowking is reduced. It is a bonus that the crown is written on the cowking’s head.

10. Play Uber Diablo in Singleplayer

You can enjoy chaos events such as Uber and Diablo in single player. The Chaos Event was a Battle.net-exclusive quest where you could fight Uber Mephisto, Uber Vile, and Pandemonium Diablo at once by collecting the Key of Fear, Key of Hatred, and Key of Destruction. In particular, Uber Diablo required a lot of Jordan Rings to summon, but in singleplayer, you can use only one Jordan ring, which makes it even more convenient.
