“Nymar, together with PSG until 2027” – Daegu Daily

Local reports have reported that Brazilian soccer star Neymar (30) will accompany Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French professional soccer league 1, which he currently belongs to, until 2027.

French media Requip reported on the 23rd (Korean time), “On the 1st of next month, the contract between Neymar and PSG will be extended until June 30, 2027.”

Brazil national team striker Neymar left FC Barcelona (Spain) in the summer of 2017 for 222 million euros (about 35.2 billion won), the highest transfer fee ever for a football player at the time, and wore a PSG jersey.

After signing a five-year contract for the first time, he agreed to a new contract with the team in May of last year. His current contract is until 2025.

However, Requiffe said, “When I renewed the contract, I had the option of a two-year extension. The option will go into effect for one year each in July 2021 and July 2022,” he explained, explaining that the contract runs through 2027.

Neymar did not perform as expected at PSG due to frequent injuries.

He scored 100 goals (60 assists) in 144 games, including 69 goals (39 assists) in 92 regular league matches.

In the 2021-2022 season, he recorded 13 goals and 8 assists in 28 official matches, including 13 goals and 6 assists in 22 league matches.

Neymar, who had previously suffered from numerous transfer rumors, was engulfed in rumors that he would change the team even before the 2022-2023 season.

France’s Put Mercato reported that PSG’s new general manager Luis Campos was willing to hand over Neymar to another club if an offer of a reasonable amount came in. yunhap news
