OBEC Signs Academic Cooperation Agreement with Incheon Airport Aviation Academy
OBEC, along with representatives from the Civil Aviation Training Center (CPA), recently attended a significant event in the aerospace industry – the signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation with Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA).
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Phakhanat Makchuay, Governor of the CPA, as well as administrators, teachers, and students from the Master of Management Program, batch 10 and batch 11. The agreement aims to strengthen the collaboration between OBEC and IAAA in the development of aviation personnel, particularly the Next Generation Aviation Professionals (NGAP).
Key Objectives
1. Establishing strong ties between AAAA and IAAA for the advancement of aviation personnel.
2. Collaborative development of a curriculum, leveraging the expertise of OBEC and IAAA, to meet the evolving needs of aviation professionals.
As part of this partnership, Ms. Phakhanat Makchuai, Governor of the Civil Aviation Training Center, participated in a study tour at Incheon Airport, gaining insights into various aspects of airport management. She explored areas like passenger building management and design, passenger baggage handling systems, management of animals hazardous to flying, and innovative services at airports.
The study tour also included a special ceremony where certificates were awarded to 17 Master of Management students who successfully completed the Airport Management Course between 20-22 September 2023. This event is a testament to the commitment demonstrated under the existing academic memorandum of understanding between SBPA and IAAA.
The executives of both OBEC and IAAA expressed the significance of this collaboration, highlighting its potential to drive productivity and sustainability in the ASEAN region’s aviation industry.

2. Joint development of a curriculum for aviation personnel in the context of OBEC and IAAA expertise.
