OCA announces “Hangzhou Asian Games” 23 Sep.-8

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) released a statement saying: China to host sporting events “Hangzhou Asian Games” on 23 Sep.-8 Oct. 2023

Previously, the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was scheduled for September 10-25, 2022, but was postponed to May due to The outbreak of COVID-19 in China has resulted in a lockdown in Shanghai. which is only 175 kilometers from Hangzhou.

About 10,000 athletes are expected to compete in 40 sports, 61 categories at the “Hangzhou Asian Games”.

Hangzhou is China’s third city to host the Asian Games. Beijing was elected in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010, while Japan will host the 2026 Asian Games, which will take place in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya.
