The official version of “iPadOS 16.3” is now available for general users
iPadOS 16.3 adds support for the recently announced HomePod (2nd generation), introduces advanced data protection for iCloud, security keys for Apple ID, and Siri not responding to music requests correctly Measures get taken to address issues that may arise.

This update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Advanced Data Protection for iCloud expands the categories of iCloud data protected by end-to-end encryption to a total of 23 categories, including iCloud backups, notes and photos, ensuring your information is stay safe even if there is a data breach in the cloud Can protect
- A security key for your Apple ID can improve account security by requiring a physical security key when signing in with two-factor authentication on new devices.
- Compatible with HomePod (2nd generation)
- Fixed an issue where brush strokes drawn with Apple Pencil or fingers in Freeboard would sometimes not appear in the shared board
- Addresses an issue where Siri would sometimes not respond correctly to music requests
