Oil closes high, Dow Jones, gold fall

Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 201.81 points, with oil up $1.70 while gold down $4.9.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 35,911.81, down 201.81, or -0.56%, the S&P 500 closed at 4,662.85, up 3.82, or +0.08%, and the SANDAC closed at 14,893.75, up 86.94, or +. 0.59% this week The Dow was down 0.9%, the S&P 500 was down 0.3% and the Nasdaq was down 0.3%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower on Jan. 14, with financial stocks weighing on the market heavily. After investors were disappointed with the big US bank’s 4Q21 earnings release at the start of the earnings release season of US listed companies.
