On the afternoon of the 18th, Oita Trinita of the Meiji Yasuda Seimei J2 League officially announced the acquisition of Brazilian midfielder Eduardo Neto (33), who once played for Kawasaki Frontale and Nagoya Grampus.

Eduardo Neto started his professional career in 2006 with the EC Bahia of Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A (Brazil 1st Division). After working at SC Braga in Primeira Liga (Portugal 1st Division) and several clubs in Brazil, he transferred to Kawasaki Frontale in 2016. At Kawasaki Frontale, he participated in 38 official games in the 2017 season, greatly contributing to the club’s first victory in the J1 league. He had been transferred to Nagoya Grampus in the middle of the 2018 season, but had left the group due to the cancellation of the contract in February 2019.

After that, the player had been independent for over a year, but joined Campeonato Brasileiro Serie C (Brazil 3rd Division) Tonpenze in April last year. In the 2021 season, he started in 24 league games, but has decided to challenge the J-League stage again.

Eduardo Neto said in a 2022 season new system presentation, “First of all, I am happy to be able to play again in this wonderful country of Japan. Also, I am very pleased and proud to be able to wear the Oita Trinita uniform. We will have many wins this season and we will fight together as a team to return to J1. We will send you a big hug. See you soon! “
