Meanwhile, Bangladesh suffered their third consecutive defeat in the T20 World Cup Super 12. Bangladesh lost by 8 wickets to England. Bangladesh’s 125-run target was surpassed by England, who lost just two wickets in 14.1 overs. Jason Roy was England’s top scorer with 61 runs.

Jose Buttler and Jason Roy gave England a good start with a 39 – run opening partnership. The Royals-David Malan duo, who met at the crease after Buttler (18) was dismissed by Naz Ahmed, wrote the fate of Bangladesh. The duo put on 73 runs for the second wicket. Roy Fifty, meanwhile, finished with 33 balls to spare. Roy fell as England raced to an easy victory. Roy Shoriful Islam, who scored 61 off 38 balls, returned with a wicket. Malan (28) and Johnny Bairstow (8) were the main contributors to England’s victory.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 124 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs. Bangladesh did not challenge England at any stage of the innings as they were bowled out in the face of England’s explosive bowling. Mushfiqur Rahim is Bangladesh’s top scorer with 29 runs. For England, Thyme Mills took three wickets and Moin Ali and Liam Livingston took two wickets each.
