Omicron variant; Reconsideration of resumption of foreign flights | Omicron | PM Modi | International Flight Curbs

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the government to reconsider the resumption of international flights. The launch of the airline is being considered in the wake of the spread of the new variant of Kovid, Omikron. The proposal was made by the Prime Minister at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister in the context of Omikron.

Earlier, the Ministry of Civil Aviation had said that international flights from India and back would be resumed on December 15 with conditions.

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the service will be limited to 14 countries, including Britain, Singapore, China, Brazil, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and New Zealand. However, the Prime Minister has directed the government to reconsider the airline concessions in the wake of the spread of Omicron to various countries.

At the same time, the US has already banned travel to South Africa and seven other African countries where Omicron has spread. Countries such as the European Union, the UK and Canada have also imposed travel restrictions.
