One question from the presenter to Vikram; Jayam Ravi couldn’t stop laughing and jumped out of his seat
The world of Indian cinema is waiting for the debut of Ponniyin Selvan, the big budget multi-starrer directed by Mani Ratnam.
Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayaram, Babu Antony, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu and Parthipan are cast in the film.
The promotional program of the film was held in Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from director Mani Ratnam, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Babu Antony participated in the promotional event.
A video is now going viral where an anchor from an online media asks a question to Chiyan Vikram during a press meet and Jayam Ravi can’t stop laughing and walks away from his seat while Vikram answers it.
“I love you sir, love you so much,” said the presenter. Hearing this, Vikram can be seen in the video asking ‘Trisha or not me’ and looking at the other stars in a tone of ‘I love you’.
“These days people around us are so depressed. “How can you be so happy and positive right now,” the anchor later asked.
Hearing this, Vikram asked, ‘What did you say first?’ In the video, the presenter is about to repeat what she said that she likes Vikram a lot and Vikram says, ‘That’s not it, I asked what she said after that’ and Jayam Ravi, who heard this, can’t , stopped laughing and turned his back to the camera after hearing this.
“I always think about happy things and moments like that. You will see people who are happy and positive,” Vikram later answered this question.
Ponniyin Selvan’s music is directed by AR Rahman. All the songs released from the film were well received.
The film is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan by the famous writer Kalki. The first part of the film, which is being made in two parts, will be released on September 30.
There were also reports that the streaming rights of the film were sold to Amazon for 125 crores. Streaming on Amazon will begin after the theatrical release.
