Keyboard 81 Pro (Winter Bonfire / Dark Grey)
OnePlus announced the company’s first mechanical keyboard “Keyboard 81 Pro” on the 7th (US time). Orders are due to start around April, and the price has not been decided.
A mechanical keyboard that delivers a soft feel and satisfying keystroke sound with a double gasket design. As a dedicated key switch developed in conjunction with Keychron, two types of Winter Bonfire (touchable axis) and Summer Breeze (linear axis) are available, and hot swapping is also supported.
The Summer Breeze switch model uses a Marble-mallow keycap that emphasizes tactile comfort. The material used is used for wristbands and charging cables, and it is said that you can get smooth typing and excellent tactile experience. In addition, Winter Bonfire has a PBT keycap.
The chassis is CNC machined from aluminum and has a keyboard holder on the bottom that acts as a tilt and vertical stand. As a design unique to the OnePlus series, it also has a Bluetooth and USB switch that mimics an alert slider (switch for silent mode, etc.) of a smartphone, and an Esc key with a logo. There is also a rotary dial on the top right.
In addition, QMK and VIA key mapping and RGB LED effects can be customized. The OS supports Windows / macOS / Linux / Android / iOS, and the connection is wired by USB Type-C and wireless by Bluetooth 5.1.
The number of keys is 81. It also has a built-in 4,000mAh battery.
