Dubai: The UAE is set to launch an online system through the RTA website for licenses to drive e-scooters. The RTA has announced that an online system for licensing e-scooters will be launched tomorrow. Earlier, the authorities had said that e-scooters should be allowed on certain roads. Must pass training class through RTA website.

RTA classes will be given on the technical aspects of scooters and the roads on which they are allowed to drive. Awareness on traffic signals will also be provided.
At the same time, those who drive e-scooters without permission will be fined 200 dirhams. However, holders of motorcycle licenses and international driving licenses do not need a special permit.
