Al Ain: An expatriate who ordered an iPhone online received a piece of marble. Lijo Jose Pallissery from Thrissur, who placed an order through Amazon, received the marble. Lijo booked the iPhone 12 on September 30th. The phone rang on October 2nd. The phone was seized for 4425.75 dirhams. When he got home and opened it, he realized that he had been deceived. He immediately contacted the delivery boy and sent the delivery boy away with the assurance that he would return the mobile or money within two days.
The next day someone else came and bought the piece of marble back. He then contacted Amazon’s customer care company several times but was told to fix everything within two days. However, no mobile or money has been recovered so far. No complaint has been lodged with the police in the hope that it will be resolved soon. However, Lijo decided to file a complaint as the issue was not resolved. Lijo Jose works as a salesman for a private company.
