Orix Last season Rookie King Miyagi pitcher PCR test positive result | Professional baseball

Professional baseball Orix announced that pitcher Hiroya Miyagi, who won the rookie of the season last season, received a positive test for the new coronavirus.

Pitcher Miyagi is 20 years old in his third year as a professional.

When he was assigned the starting rotation from the start of the season last season, he contributed to Orix’s first league victory in 25 years with 13 wins in 2nd place in the league, and won the title of the Pacific League rookie of the year.

According to the team, pitcher Miyagi had a sore throat on the 20th, so when he underwent a PCR test at a hospital in Osaka City on the 21st, he received a positive test for the new coronavirus.

Pitcher Miyagi had been training independently at a baseball team facility in Konohana Ward, Osaka, but after receiving a positive result, he is currently undergoing medical treatment.

The team will respond to the instructions of the health center in the future.
