The Saudi ambassador to Nouakchott, Mohammed bin Ayed Al-Balawi, said that Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, “pay great attention to strengthening relations with Mauritania.”
The ambassador’s statements came during a dinner party held by the Saudi Embassy in Nouakchott, yesterday evening, Monday, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi diplomat added that the relations between the two countries “resulted in partnership and cooperation in various fields.”
He pointed to a “match in visions regarding issues of common interest.”
He talked about the historical milestones that contributed to the establishment and unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting “the important role played by the scholars of Chinguetti in serving the Kingdom.”
