The Overwatch development team announced the return of Overwatch by unveiling the Overwatch 2 content roadmap and two first public cinematics through the Overwatch 2 public livestream event early this morning.
Overwatch 2 will be released as a free-to-play live game on October 5th (Korean time). Regular seasonal updates and Battle Pass provide new content such as new heroes, game modes, battlefields, and cosmetic items. Prior to this, the beta test will begin on the 29th (Wednesday), where you can experience the new hero Junker Queen for the first time. You can apply to participate in the beta from here.
As Overwatch 2 becomes a free-to-play game, anyone can easily access and play with friends or find someone to play with online. Cross-platform play and shared progress allows you to keep playing regardless of platform, building records, and enjoying unlocked content.
In Overwatch 2, items can be acquired directly from the Battle Pass or from the constantly updated new in-game shop. The development team will release a new season content every 9 weeks and will always provide a new experience.
