Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s official residence in Islamabad has been rented out following a major financial crisis following the Kovid expansion. The decision was made to rent out to host fashion shows, cultural and educational events. Both committees have been set up to ensure that the dignity and discipline of the Prime Minister’s residence is maintained while conducting such events.
The Pakistani government had announced that the residence would be turned into a university in 2019 as soon as the Tehreek-e-Insaf party came to power. Imran then vacated his residence. But the government had now changed its mind.
In the last three years, Pakistan’s economy has collapsed by $ 19 billion. There has also been widespread criticism of the Imran government’s economic policies. Critics point out that the wrong decisions have put the government in a difficult position.
