A Popular Front leader was earlier arrested in connection with the case and later remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. The accused has been remanded by the Palakkad Judicial First Class Court. According to the police, the accused is directly involved in the murder. Meanwhile, the police filed an application seeking release of the accused in custody.
