Parents who were arrested for abusing and killing their 11-year-old son have admitted to some of the charges, saying they attacked their son.
The special child abuse investigation team of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that the parents arrested for child abuse and death admitted to beating their son for discipline.
The police intend to further investigate their mobile phones, etc. to confirm the specific circumstances of the abuse and consolidate related evidence.
Meanwhile, the National Institute for Scientific Research said that as a result of the autopsy on the child who died, ″multiple damage has been confirmed″ and plans to determine the exact cause of death through a detailed examination.
The victim’s parents were arrested on suspicion of abusing and killing the victim in an apartment in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, around 2 pm yesterday.
At the time, bruises were found in all parts of the victim’s body.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, the victim had not been to school since November 24 last year and was listed as a ‘long-term absence’ by the education authorities.
Even after school started last month, the homeroom teacher contacted the child because the child was not going to school, but the parents responded that they were “preparing to study in the Philippines ” and he said that the parents would teach at home and “homeschool”.
