Park Ji-sung appeals to Manchester United fans to stop singing offensive song on South Korea | Mention that Koreans are dog eaters: Former star with a request to fans

Manchester: Former club player Park Ji-sung has made a different request to Manchester United fans. The star requested that a fan song with racist references against Koreans not be sung in the gallery.

The song mentions that Koreans eat dog meat. Park’s request is to drop the song that fans sang in his honor when he played for the club.

Park, 40, said he decided to say this when he heard United fans singing the song during an away game against Wolverhampton. The song was sung by United fans when the Wolves dropped South Korean star Hwang Hee Chan to play.

“I know United fans don’t mean to be ridiculed by this song. But these days it is a racist critique. No one likes that. In addition, the diet of the new generation in Korea has changed, ” Park said. He played for United in 2005–12, winning four Premier League titles and the 2008 UEFA Champions League.
