PCR test should be avoided for emergency travel: KDNA

KUWAIT CITY: The Kozhikode District NRI Association (KDNA) has sent an urgent message to the Union Ministry of External Affairs and the Government of Kerala requesting that the PCR test exemption for emergency returnees from the Gulf be reinstated on the Suvidha portal.

Having to wait for seven to ten hours to get a PCR result has resulted in the inability to travel immediately due to the cancellation of this concession in the air facility for emergency travel such as death. Such persons can apply for PCR at the local airport. He also demanded that a facility be set up for testing.
