Dubai: As many as 1,200 employees of Union Cop participated in the Pedestrian Safety Campaign 2021 (Pedestrian safety campaign 2021) organized by the Traffic General Division of the Dubai Police. It aims to participate in locally conducted awareness campaigns, ensure a good transport culture among employees and be part of a community with a safe transport culture.
Dubai Police aims to spread the culture of raising awareness about traffic laws by educating the staff of the institution. It also supports community policing. It is part of the police’s efforts to ensure the safety of pedestrians on the roads and reduce the number of accidents, injuries and deaths by collaborating with various organizations and educating their employees on traffic laws.
Ahmed bin Kenaid Al Falasi, Union COP’s Director of Human Resource Development and Indigenization, said that the COPE is extremely vigilant in participating in local awareness campaigns in collaboration with leading institutions and authorities. He added that Union Cope’s participation in the Pedestrian Safety Campaign 2021 is part of a consistent commitment to inculcate a culture of transportation in employees, raising awareness about the importance of pedestrian safety and thereby reducing traffic accidents. He explained that the importance of this campaign is to strengthen social commitment and that this is one of the main goals of Union Cope.
